Norton

Norton receiving office 26 km west of Many Peaks. It opened as a post office in January 1880 before being reduced to a receiving office in August 1892 and then being elevated to a post office in February 1905. The receiving office keeper in 1892 was Miss McLeod; 1893 B. Brown; 1894 A. Corcoran; 1898 Mrs E. Leslie, storekeeper; 1901 Mrs Carmichael, storekeeper
